Psychotherapy for Depression and/OR Anxiety

Psychotherapy for depression. Psychotherapy for anxiety.

Psychotherapy for depression

Depression is a small word for a state that can both encompass and be affected by so many things.  I like to work with my clients to discuss their lives, contexts, and how they both effect and are affected by their contexts.  I believe both words and perspective can be helpful in changing our feelings and ideas about our lives and relationships.  I believe, as most collaborative therapists do, that conversations can heal, and I work within that context to assist my clients in finding relief, comfort, and improvement.

Psychotherapy for anxiety

Our lives, particularly in these continually unprecedented times, can potentially provide us with much to worry about.  Excessive worry can be a particularly troublesome worry to have.  I often work with those of my clients who are struggling with this concern to define and redefine these worries. In that redefining, clients can gain new perspectives and determine new solutions for managing those concerns.  This can help clients develop perspectives and solutions that free them from clinging to worry and panic and open them up to calm, confident potential.
